The energetic heart and spirit of the
Farmington Valley Arts Center is provided by the artists and craftspeople who maintain professional, working studios at this beautiful creative space.
The Studio Artists of the FVAC share their talent through their unique art/craft and provide the public with an opportunity to meet these professionals and see them at work. Artists working in diverse disciplines from traditional functional crafts to more conceptual uses of material and ideas are all found at FVAC.
The Artists' Studio Program at the The Farmington Valley Arts Center in Avon, CT provides a nurturing, challenging environment for professional working artists who rent studio space at the Arts Center. To ensure both high quality work and professional commitment, artists are juried through an application and review process. The Arts Center provides career advancement support as the Studio Artists pursue their artistic and entrepreneurial goals.
The studio artists keep varying hours most weeks, but First Saturdays are always Open Studios days. Many of the artists also teach classes or private lessons in their studios.
Whether you want to discover and nurture your own creativity and artistic abilities, visit with one or more of the 25 resident studio artists who create and sell their works on-site or browse and shop in the Arts Center's two galleries, you are invited to connect to this creative community that has evolved into one of the region's most innovative centers for artistic exploration.
